Sashiko

Sashiko (刺し子?, literally “little stabs”)

Sashiko is a form of decorative reinforcement stitching (or functional embroidery) from Japan. Traditional sashiko was used to reinforce points of wear, or to repair worn places or tears with patches.

Sashiko panels are pre stencilled quality Japanese Fabrics used for Sashiko Embroidery. Following the stencilled lines on the fabric, your Sashiko stitches will define the image.

The Cloth/Panel is then washed to revel the design clear of the stencil lines
